3 ways weekends could recharge your creative batteries. If you’re anything like me, you feel stuck sometimes. You might be in a rut and not know how to get out of it, or you may need some inspiration for your next big project. Whatever the case may be, I’ve got three simple ways that can help recharge your creative batteries:
Get outside.
The first thing to do is get outside. You might not even realise it, but spending time outdoors significantly impacts your mental health and creativity. Getting some fresh air will help you to relax and find inspiration for new ideas!
Here are some ideas:
- Go for a walk or hike in the woods.
- Take your dog for a walk around the neighbourhood (or sit outside with them).
- Go bird watching at your local park or nature reserve–you can even bring binoculars!
Do something you love, but last did a while ago.
Do something you love, but last did a bit ago.
You may have always wanted to try this or something you used to do as a child. It could be painting, poetry, or having fun with childhood friends. Whatever it is, take some time out of your weekend and do it! If something has been on your bucket list for years, this could be the perfect opportunity to make it happen!
If you don’t know where to start with this activity, ask yourself: What would make me happy right now? What would bring me joy? What have I always wanted to try but never had time for?
Take care of yourself.
- Take a break from work.
- Nap (if you can).
- Call a friend or acquaintance you haven’t spoken with in a while
- Watch a comedy movie or sketch
- Eat healthy food, even just one meal or snack each day. You may find that your taste buds have changed and now prefer foods with more flavour than before–a bonus!
Bottom Line
These tips have inspired you to make the most of your weekend. Remember, it’s not just about having fun–it’s about recharging your creative batteries so that you can return to work refreshed and ready to tackle new challenges. These are only 3 ways weekends could recharge your creative batteries. There are more things you can do beyond these suggestions.
