Christmas Business Ideas

Introduction

Christmas is a beautiful time of year, and it’s also an excellent time for your business! So whether you’re looking for ways to earn money or want to enjoy the season more yourself, here are some ideas for making some extra cash during the holidays.

Santa Letters

Santa’s letters are a great way to keep the magic of Christmas alive for children. You can do this in your home or local mall and charge for this service. If you want to make a few extra bucks, advertise your services on social media!

Make Christmas crackers

Christmas crackers are the perfect Christmas party accessory. They’re festive, delicious, and fun to make! To make your own Christmas crackers, you will need the following:

  • A tube of Pillsbury Crescent Roll Dough
  • A package of Philadelphia Cream Cheese (8 oz.) softened at room temperature for 30 minutes or until fluffy.
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • One teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • One egg yolk beat with one tablespoon of water and a pinch of salt (for optional cream cheese frosting)
  •  ½ cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts (optional garnish)
  • ½ cup finely chopped white chocolate chips or semisweet chips (optional garnish)
  •  ¼ cup miniature candy canes or peppermint patties crushed into crumbs (optional garnish)
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees C. Unroll crescent roll dough onto a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper and press firmly into an even layer across the entire surface area. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown around the edges but not cooked through in the centre; cool completely on a wire rack before filling with the cream cheese filling mixture below.
  • In a large bowl, combine cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth; beat in vanilla extract, then add beaten egg yolk mixture; fold in nuts and chocolate chips if desired.
  • Spread filling over cooled baked pastry shell(s). Sprinkle crushed candy cane bits/peppermint pieces over the top if using them.
  • Cut into squares before serving at parties, ensuring everyone receives their cracker so they don’t have to share!

Help with gift shopping and wrapping.

This is where your business can create a compassionate customer experience with your existing customer base in different areas. I have listed some of these below as a guide:

  • Help with gift shopping and wrapping.
  • Wrap gifts for people.
  • Help people with their Christmas cards, including writing them to order (this is a great way to make extra cash).

Painting Christmas Decorations

Painting Christmas decorations is a great way to enjoy the holidays with loved ones, but you need to be careful that the paint doesn’t get everywhere. Acrylic paint can be messy, so it’s best to work in an open space with newspaper on the floor. If your kids are old enough, get them to paint their ornaments. This can help them develop fine motor skills and self-expression and teach them about colour mixing and brush techniques—all while having fun!

If you’re feeling creative after all those cookies and eggnog, why not take your time on this one? Get friends together for holiday crafting sessions where everyone gets painted “ornaments” (or whatever else strikes their fancy). You may even find yourself making new friends along the way!

Easter Egg Decorating Parties

Do you have a little one who can’t wait to start the Easter egg hunt? Or your child is more interested in decorating eggs than hunting for them. Either way, this is a fun activity that will keep them busy while they wait for the big day.

You can also use these decorated eggs to do other activities during the holiday season, such as having an egg toss or scavenger hunt!

Christmas Home Tours

It would be best if you were prepared to show your home in the best light. So make sure it’s clean, tidy and decorated for Christmas. You might even want to get some fake snow and make a small snowy scene at the front door. If there are any little ones in your family, make sure you have plenty of toys for them to play with when they visit.

And finally: remember those gifts! A good rule of thumb is one gift per guest plus one extra just in case they come early or stay late. But, of course, you could also opt for a money-based gift instead if you’re feeling particularly low on cash this year (we’ve all been there).

Holiday Light Tours

  • Holiday light tours are fun and festive. You can tour holiday lights at night or during the day by car, foot, or bicycle—even on a Segway!
  • Tour guides can wear Santa Claus to add to the season’s magic.
  • Tours can include stops at restaurants and bars for seasonal cocktails and appetisers to enjoy your favourite treats while touring spectacular holiday displays.

Tour of Holiday Lights

If you’re looking for a way to beat the holiday blues and escape reality for a little bit, then a holiday light tour is exactly what you need. The best part about taking time for holiday lights? It’s free!

However, before you search for your next holiday light tour, you must know where to find them. Here are some tips:

  • Ensure your car has enough gas before going on long road trips; this will save money and time!
  • If possible, try getting out at night when it’s snowing if there isn’t much traffic on the road (or even better yet—if there is none). This way, no one else could see how beautiful these colours are except yourself!

Christmas Tree Farm Tours

  • Learn about the different types of trees and how they are grown.
  • See how trees are harvested.
  • Learn about the history of Christmas trees.
  • Get tips on choosing the right tree for your home: height, shape, type of needles or branches (soft or stiff), fragrance and needle retention (how long before they drop).

These business ideas will help your Christmas be more fun!

Plenty of businesses help you make money, but most require a lot of work. This can be frustrating if you want to relax and enjoy the holiday season. Fortunately, there’s another option: Christmas business ideas that don’t involve working at all!

As a bonus, when you go for these kinds of businesses (you’ll see why in a moment), it helps everyone else!

Bottom-Line

And that’s all there is to it! You can use these ideas to make your holiday season more enjoyable, exciting and profitable.
